The Johnson DC magnetic drum brake is currently available in 17 models. This brake unit features a DC tractive type magnet with encapsulated coil, fabricated steel mechanism, ductile iron brake shoes, major pivots non-ferrous bushed and non asbestos friction linings made for high temperature. This DC magnetic drum brake is used for applications such as mechanical handling equipment, cranes, winches, elevators, lifts, also rolling mills, mixers etc.
