The Sibre Type USB Disc Brakes are expertly engineered to serve as both service and emergency stop brakes, making them ideal for demanding applications such as container cranes, bucket wheel excavators, stackers, reclaimers, and belt conveyors. These brakes are equipped with a lining wear compensator, offering a seamless blend of spring and weight-applied braking capabilities, ensuring smooth operation and minimal maintenance.

Designed with a robust structure, the USB model features all bearings and pivot points fitted with close tolerance bushes, and pins crafted from rust and acid-resistant stainless steel. The optimized lever geometry provides maximum ratio and generous lining clearance, while the braking torque remains independent of the disc's rotating direction. The square spring tube, complete with a graduated torque scale, facilitates easy torque adjustment, and the brake linings are easily replaceable, asbestos-free, and capable of handling high circumferential speeds and temperatures up to 850°C.

The USB disc brakes boast a significant increase in brake force, exceeding 70% due to optimized positioning. The design incorporates springs with a low c-rate, enhancing the utilization factor of the available release force. The centric application of spring force increases the efficiency and lifespan of the bushings. The knee lever design not only provides the necessary dead weight but also forms an enclosure that protects the uppermost hinge points and tension rod from dust and damage. The SIBRE synchronization linkage, a feature well-known from SIBRE drum brakes, ensures equal and synchronous movement of brake arms, eliminating the need for manual air-gap adjustments.

With a range of braking torque options, from 0 Nm to 31,850 Nm, the Sibre Type USB Disc Brakes cater to a variety of industrial needs. Optional status monitoring systems (SMS) are available, utilizing monitoring switches, temperature sensors, and DMS technology to provide real-time status updates to the PLC. This feature allows for precise planning of preventive maintenance, enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
