The MDT series from Speed-O-Controls is a mill duty thruster brake designed to control the speed of moving machinery. The breaking force is applied to the brake shoes by a pre, stressed compression spring, after what the shoe presses on the rotating brake drum to control its speed.
This product line comes with 19 models offering a braking torque ranging from 6 to 580 kg per meter and a lifting force of 18 to 114 kg.

ST Thruster
The ST thrusters by Speed-O-Controls are available in 4 models with stroke lengths of 51, 76 and 127 mm and are capable of producing 15 to 295 kg. Their rated supply is 400/440V/50Hz/3 phase and other voltages (up to 600V) are available on request. These thrusters should be mounted with in +10 degrees from vertical and use transformer oil to BS 148.
